Principals of Sierra Planning conducted an assessment of the opportunities for hotel development as part of a proposed business park in the City of Kingston at Highway 401 and Sharbot Lake Road. The 29-acre business park comprises a range of commercial office, restaurant/fast food and highway commercial uses as well as the proposed hotel development.
Our team carried out the study addressing the merits of a hotel development on the subject site and establishing the impacts of a hotel on the existing accommodation sector in the City of Kingston. A final report was prepared for submission to the City of Kingston to obtain the necessary Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendments.
Status: Business Park is developed with two brand name hotels providing over 100 rooms to the travelling public.
